Branding, Identity
The hope for tomorrow, insured.

Ceret is a boutique insurance company based in Mexico. The brief called for a full identity design, including naming. The name CERĒT was chosen as a way to convey a sense of optimism, faith and protection, since its Latvian meaning is to hope.

Based on the universal metaphor for unforeseen tragedy and bad luck that is a storm, the umbrella was chosen as an emblem and made from the same diacritical mark on the e. The macron is slightly curved in accordance with the typeface and also helps illustrate the umbrella. ​The reassurance of protection and shelter echo through the brand with the use of the emblem. When the emblem is broken down into separate graphic elements, it serves as a pattern which is in use throughout both digital and print assets.
