Kahlo and Rivera’s mix of art, passion, wildlife and all things Mexican folklore.
Kahvera is a Destination Management Company (DMC), focused primarily on Mexican destinations.
The brief called for a complete identity design, including the naming process.
The name is a combination of Mexico’s most famous artistic couple : Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Both last names were put together, using Kahlo’s first three letters and Rivera’s last four, resulting in Kahvera.
From there, the concept of the brand grew towards encapsulating what most represented them. From the intricate pattern featuring a hummingbird (Frida’s known favorite) to incorporating the word paint in the company’s slogan.
The hot air balloon was added for the travel element and the pattern was created to simulate a traditional Ottomi one.
The end result is a brand which honors Mexican culture in a refined and luxurious manner.
